During the summer BIBBA will be running several 2 Day Bee Improvement Courses, and our association will be hosting one of the courses.

The intention is to provide tuition for those who want to improve their bees and raise a reasonable number of queens, either on their own or working in a group with other beekeepers.

The practical and theory course with live bees, will cover what the ordinary beekeeper needs in order to produce good queens including: Colony Assessment, Setting the criteria you want in your bees, Handling techniques, Producing queen cells by several methods, Setting up cell raising colonies, Making up and managing queen mating colonies and nuclei, Q/C distribution etc.
