The Development of Insect Nervous Systems
Presentation by Darren Williams and Connor
All Members welcome.
Exploring the biology of the wingless bee louse fly Braula coeca
We are biologists based at King’s College London working on the development of insect nervous systems. In recent years we have become fascinated with the wingless fly Braula coeca.
We were excited to hear that Braula has been found within hives in your association and would be interested in collaborating with you to undertake a ‘citizen science’ project. We would like to learn more about the life history of this little fly and also collect some samples to help us with this work on the evolution of neural circuits.
